Dana founded Speak for Success in 2001 to help professionals feel better and give better presentations. She has since expanded Speak for Success' services to include communications consulting, image and impression management, and leadership development.

Dana works with executives, managers, sales teams, and technical professionals and has delivered presentations and training to more than 100,000 people since 1992. Some of her clients include County of San Diego, Gen-Probe, Illumina, Mission Federal Credit Union, SDG&E, and Qualcomm.

Her business experience includes account management of Fortune 500 clients for C.G. Wright & Associates, a national training and consulting company. Earlier in her career she was responsible for sales management and training for a retail cosmetics company in 40 Broadway Department store accounts in Southern California.

Dana is proud and excited about the Speak for Success Women’s Leadership Institute, a partnership with the YWCA of San Diego County. Working with women who have been homeless and helping them build self-confidence through public speaking is extremely rewarding for Dana and her team.

With a dynamic and nurturing facilitation and coaching style, Dana inspires and assists others to greater self-confidence and skill in delivering their presentations. Believing that people learn from acknowledgement of what they do right, Dana provides positive and motivating feedback to the individuals with whom she works.

Dana has been on the faculties of UCSD Extension, Cal State San Marcos and San Diego State University. She is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management, and is a former board member of American Society for Training and Development. She is a recipient of the Golden Gavel and Competent Toastmaster awards and is a past Toastmasters chapter president. Dana holds a B.S. in Business Management.

Dana's 15 minutes of fame was when she was quoted in O, the Oprah Magazine. She's been featured locally in the San Diego Business Journal, KUSI TV “Inside San Diego” and Fox5 morning news.
